O.J. Simpson asked friends to bring “some heat” and carry guns to back him up in a showdown with two sports collectors in a Las Vegas hotel, says co- defendant Walter Alexander.
According to a 45 page police interview with Alexander I obtained today, “O.J. said, ‘Hey, just bring some firearms…..”
In an exclusive phone interview before he negotiated his plea, Alexander told The Bald Truth that he was “disgusted” Simpson had put him at risk, and angry at himself for allowing his 12-year friendship to overrule good judgment.
“It’s a hard lesson to learn, but OJ is out for OJ, he’s a fair weather friend,” Alexander told me. When we spoke Wednesday, he said he couldn’t make any more statements until after he pleads guilty Oct. 23.
See excerpts from the police statement. alexander-police-report-pages-1-3.pdf
According to the transcript I’ve obtained, Alexander met in Simpson’s room Sept. 15 at the Palms Hotel with O.J. and another friend, Michael McClinton, who gave him a .22 pistol which he tucked in his waistband. He said McClinton brought his own gun.
Alexander said O.J. explained how they should act “tough” when they backed him up as he confronted two collectors he believed had stolen his personal memorabilia. “You know, just kinda open your shirt up…let ‘em see the firearm, so that, you know that we got some heat and we mean business.”
While Simpson has denied guns were involved, Alexander said he never pulled his gun out, but McClinton waved his in the air and shouted orders inside a room at the nearby Palace Casino hotel where the confrontation happened.
On an audiotape made by Thomas Riccio, the go-between who lured the collectors to Las Vegas with the promise of a buyer as a cover for their “sting,” Simpson can be heard cursing the men he believed had stolen his property.
Alexander has agreed to testify for the prosecution.

LOL, OJ is so stupid!

Art being multi talented and into many different cases, I offered to post OJ’s bail! Yes I did, I sent his attorney an e-mail and the SOB never responded and never even offered a ‘thanks’. Being a little thick headed I even called his office and got the secretary and left a message with her. Chickie’s Bail in Los Angeles was contacted and I had her convinced to assist me with it.
I have worked criminal defense for years and again it all reflects on credibility. In this group of misfits it is only OJ that has ‘clean hands’, yes I said it, clean hands. Correct me if I am wrong but dont all the little thugs have records and rap sheets?
It is nice to see OJ still has few if any friends and were did he find this group? They are right out of central casting of goof balls and fools. I have done recoveries for years, high dollar cars, jewelry, horses and all the rest, if you have a belief that someone has stolen property get the cops involved, they carry guns and they also have badges! I have never had a police department refuse my request for assistance when we showed or had proof someone had property that was taken and was now hiding it with ‘X’ or in ‘Y’.
Every situation is different and with that in mind trying to conduct your own sting seldom if ever works well! I do feel OJ was setup and one has to wonder by whom and why!
Oh before I forget, there are places on the planet not to go and try pulling this kind of crap, Las Vegas, Burbank, and Los Banos. These are places that have police departments that will hunt you down! Bigger cities no problem!

“It’s a hard lesson to learn, but OJ is out for OJ,”
I could have told you that much

Well guess this says OJ is going down for this.Just goes to show when it comes to jail time even a 12 year 0ld friendship ship doesn’t hold water. Can’t blame the guy for making the best deal he could.OJ thought his friends would stand by him because they came to help him with this showdown.Shows how wrong he was.Maybe OJ thinks he can have the same thing happen that happened at his murder trial.somethings depend on the tapes andwhat the other defendents say.OJ should have known better than to deal with someone like Riccio at least from what I have read about him.

Who can believe anything that comes out of the mouths of any of these people.
This person turned and became a rat, so much for “FRIENDSHIP”, so why would anyone believe what he has to say. He does not want to go do time, he will say whatever they want him to say.
It is still horrific that Riccio was NOT arrested. Something is really not right with a man who tapes something for MONEY.

Anyone is stupid to deal with Riccio, he is what I would compare a "pawn shop buyer who knows he is buying stolen property", except he specializes in famous people and will stoop to bribery and any other area to make a dollar. This guy should have been behind bars a long time ago.

It has now reached a point that I believe NOTHING that I hear. There are so many evil people willing to do and say anything in their own self interest – dirty cops capable of planting evidence, leaking important information to the media, etc. Why should we think Mr. Alexander is telling the truth when he is only trying to save himself. I don’t know O.J. but I always liked him and was never sure (beyond a reasonable doubt) that he commited those murders either. O.J. didn’t hold a gun on Alexander and force him to bring “some heat” – he did it of his own free will. O.J. is a sitting target as it is and he should never have involved himself with these people – but I do understand his anger. There are too many people who want O.J. to pay for those murders in Brentwood in one way or another and this may be the way to take him down.

OJ hasn’t made a very good judgement in his choice of friends since the murder of Nicole and Ron. But could be that since the majority of people are convinced that he is guilty of the crime he was found not guilty by jury, but later found guilty in a civil court, he has to find friends where he is accepted. Sad situation he has placed himself in.

This sounds like a setup! OJ” s so call friends are putting all the blame on him, but thats how people work ,they will sell you out to save their BUTTS…
HELLO>>> So you have 4 or 5 guys go to jail for the same thing and the next thing you know everyone is pointing the finger at one 1 guy(O.J.) because the P….. makes you a deal for a slap on the back to lie. The law is based on lies RIGHT… so much for fariness.

LaVone I couldn’t have said it better Alexander sure did not have to bring a gun. No one forced him too. When it comes to jail time no one is your friend, they will say what they have to ,to get the least amount of time they can out of it.JN from what I have read about these guys you are right they are a bunch of misfits.Alexander didn’t even know the last name of the groom whos wedding he was going to.At least that is what I got from his statement.

Sorry he didn’t know how to pronounce the name,Some friend HUH
October 19th, 2007 at 8:05 am
OJ put himself in the situation and with these accomplishes, so, put the blame where is belongs on OJ’s back.
October 19th, 2007 at 10:29 am
My take on this is to never give people the ammunition to kill you with.

If I say lets go rob a store… and we go ..
then that person .is as guilty as I am…
OJ dosen’t stand a chance..no Jury will find
him…..NOT GUILTY…most all has been waiting
a long timme to get him IMO..
I say the Jury mmade the right decision…
I almost stand alone…but I devoted
my life to that Trial and have most on Tape also…
The Evidence was not there….Again MOO

I totally agree with #5 & #6….
I don’t believe any of this crap. He said, she said, he made me, blah blah blah.
This all smells of a good set up!

Pollyne……… You are not alone!
Trish……….. I totally agree!!!

I say they are all equally guilty. They were all there together doing the same thing, they should all go down. I don’t believe anyone held a gun to anyone’s head to make them participate in this crime and it is a crime.

Why did Al cry so hard…was he guilty…and allowed the 5th amendment.
Seems he at least had a conscience and had ‘real tears’…
Drugs are such an awfully bad thing…that can make individuals do unimaginable things..
Then there’s that ‘Cartel,’ and money ‘induces and makes them do bad, bad things.
I believe money and drugs…are the ‘criminals.’

I think OJ may have been innocent…yet, Johnny is dead.
Guess it really doesn’t matter, because what has been done, is done.
I now believe OJ was innocent…although, not completely.
Too, bad Nicole wasn’t so beautiful…
Hope her kids know she was really just human.
