Jurors hung on every scandalous, shocking word Tuesday as Casey Anthony lawyer Jose Baez put her father on trial, claiming that two year old Caylee drowned in the family pool, and accused George Anthony with fishing her out and tossing the body, but blaming it on her mother, Casey.
Then, shock of all shocks, he charged the former police detective with creating a liar out Casey when he molested her as a little girl, suggesting she was programmed to lie from an early age to cover up the dark famliy secret of incest, and that’s what made her able to go 31 days without reporting her daughter missing. French IMF Boss, accused rapist, in cuffs
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) artharris.com, all rights reserved
Check out my interview with Poynter Institute media writer extraordinaire Al Tompkins (link below) about French outrage over subjecting their powerful IMF bigshot and possible candidate for President to a public perp walk, showing him unkempt and displeased in cuffs, after allegedly trying to rape a New York hotel maid in his $3,000/night suite.
Remember, as the New York prosecutor argued in winning bond denial, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, nicknamed “the great seducer” of French politics, was all comfy on the tarmac in first class, likely toasting devilish good luck in rushing from an alleged crime scene to make the flight, perhaps delicately sipping a nice Chateau Lafitte, even gloating , ‘Yo, Roman (Polanski, or Baby Doc!), here we come.
Polanski managed to rape a 13 year old girl in LA, then hide behind French skirts and extradition loopholes to escape U.S. justice, and much has been made of his shadow hanging over the case. Read the rest of this entry »

Elizabeth Edwards, lawyer, author, mother, wife
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) www.artharris.com, all rights reserved
As a journalist shivering in the cold Carolina rain before dawn, camera crew in tow, we were under orders from campaign staff NOT to knock for another 15 minutes.
It was 5:45 a.m. mid fall, 2004, and Elizabeth Edwards, a vice presidential candidate’s wife and mother of four, was a television show dream date. As a middle aged supermom with two children under five, she juggled cereal boxes for rebellious Jack and Emma Claire and a legal career turned campaign strategist for husband John. She joked that People magazine had chosen him as a hot-looking guy, but he was married to a wife in perpetual diet mode. She had endured the ultimate parent’s tragedy–losing a son, Wade, when the 16 year old died in a car crash.
Millions of women, and lots of mothers, hung on her every word, lessons life had taught her, and she was sought after by all the talk shows, to share about surviving, relearning how to find joy in life, what really mattered, which mattered to the good as gold Oprah demo. Now she was inviting us in to share herself to millions of ET and The Insider viewers, not only as a way to humanize her family, and by extension, the Kerry Edwards ticket. She said it was a typical school morning Chez Edwards.
“Come on in. I can’t let you all stand in the rain like that,” said Elizabeth, flinging open the door to her elegant, sprawling home outside Chapel Hill. “Want some coffee?” Read the rest of this entry »
